Do most men bring their own tallit and kippah, or use their synagogue’s?

I was raised mainly secular but want to start attending services (reform in the US) more often. Question in the title: do most men bring their own tallit and kippah, or use their synagogue’s? The only kippah I own are from bar mitzvahs growing up. Would it be appropriate to use what’s up for grabs at the temple or should I buy a nice set? And where to get it? Thanks!
