Hullo!
I’m just at the beginning of a BSL class, and the sign for Sunday is a prayer sign. I asked if Deaf Jews or D/deaf practitioners of other religions might use a different sign for Sunday or similar and my teacher wasn’t sure, so I just wanted to ask in this sub to see if that’s the case.
If there are any other signs in BSL that have differences within Jewish communities or are influenced by Jewish cultures in a separate way to broader goyische / British Christian sign that would be helpful to know too!
(Answers from BSL speakers and particularly D/deaf or HoH Jews only please. American Sign Language is a wholly different language and isn’t relevant here.)
