Hi everyone,
I’ve been drawn to Judaism for quite some time, and I’m now starting to explore it more seriously. A lot of the resources I’ve found so far focus on rituals, holidays, or laws (like keeping kosher or observing Shabbat), which is really helpful, but I’d love to hear more about the day-to-day lived experience.
For those who practice Judaism: • How does it shape your daily routine in ways people might not expect? • What are the little things that outsiders might not realize are part of Jewish life? • How does community involvement affect your everyday life — is it more like having a second family, or more occasional/social? • And does living a Jewish life affect your friendships with non-Jewish people? Is there less room for those friendships, or do they naturally shift in some way?
I’d be really grateful to hear personal perspectives. I know everyone’s experience is different depending on denomination, level of observance, and community, but I think that’s exactly what makes this topic so interesting.
Thanks in advance for sharing!
