Question for the Jewish historians in this sub:
During genealogical research, I recently uncovered that an ancestor of mine was the trustee of the Council of Four Lands at the time that the Polish Diet shut it down in 1754. His name was Yissochor Dov haLevi of Chernivtsi.
What comprehensive books would you recommend I read to learn more about the Council (the Wiki page is quite short), and is there an extant list anywhere of all its members throughout its history?
