In Talmud, Yevamot 12b it is stated that “A man may betroth a young girl who is three years and 1 day old.” I’m wondering if I am missing any context around this ruling as it seems pretty…. Unethical. Is this a mistranslation? Genuinely seeking answers, thank you!
