I was watching YouTube videos of people walking around Uman for Rosh Hashana and some videos from Breslov communities in the Catskills.
I noticed that like 85%-90% of guys have tekhelet on their tzitzit. This ranged all the way from “classic black and white” Haredi Breslovers, Mizrahi/Sephardi guys with crossbody bags and skinny jeans, the hippies, the Na-Nachs, and everyone in between.
Is tekhelet encouraged amongst Breslovers specifically? I read that most people coming to Uman are from Israel, so perhaps tekhelet is just really taking off there?
It’s certainly not the norm amongst non-Chasidim and most non-Breslov Haredim in the USA (though I have seen the rare Chabadnik with tekhelet it a couple times in Israel).
