Baalei teshuva, where did you find the spark that led you to faith/observance?

24/m/American-Israeli. I’ve been secular since my bar mitzvah, but have been wanting to become more observant for a while now in order to live more mindfully/meaningfully. When I go to services, though, I feel… nothing. It all seems repetitive and a bit boring. Even going to the kotel doesn’t do much for me.

So people who became observant after having been secular, where did that spark come from for you? What was the experience that gave you faith?

Friday is probably a bad day to ask this question lol
