advice needed!

I myself am not Jewish, but I’m going to shul tomorrow with my nanny family so I’m not sure what to wear.

Is there a dress code? I was told to wear a skirt that covers my knees so I was thinking of wearing a white one I have.

Is there anything I should avoid wearing? I heard it’s best to avoid wearing gold and leather.

And what about certain colors? Anything else I should avoid wearing?

As for shoes, I’m also not sure what to wear. I have flats I could wear but are sneakers okay?
