A gentile wearing a Star of David

Hi, I’m a Brazilian Christian, and I have been supporting Israel since the start of the war. I was trying to show my support even more, so I bought a Star necklace, before, I asked one Israeli jewish friend of mine if wearing one is cultural appropriation. He said to me that ” no one cares about cultural appropriation but the Americans ” and he said that jewish people would be happy to see one gentile wearing one.

Anyway, after one opelyn antisemitic situation had happened in my work, I was thinking about wearing my neckclace even more to show more support for Jewish people. But I saw one comment in internet, one jewish person was talking about how it is too disrespectful the fact of Gentiles wearing a star of David. When I talked to that person, He said that I have a weird obsession with jewish culture and I have nothing with this situation. But why would I have a obsession to be hated ? Really, I just wanted support. I won’t appropriation nothing. I’m wondering about this comment. I’m sad and confusing about this situation, cause I was not waiting and my intentions have been the best ones about supporting jewish people. I have been attacked during months for supporting Israel and Jewish people, I don’t care about antisemitic people attacking me. But a Jewish people saying those things, I’m really without reaction. Anyway, if it is disrespectful I will not wearing the star anymore. What do you guys think about ? I would like know more jewish opinions.
