I’m not sure if this is the correct tag, but I’m Zera Yisreal and looking at exploring my jewish heritage. It’s been a few generations since we’ve practiced Judaism and my father didn’t even know he’s Jewish until recently. I knew because I was close to my great grandmother and grandmother on his side. However, despite being an adult I do live with my parents. I was invited to a synagogue soon and I said I’d go. But my parents want to know what I’m doing that day. I feel like if I tell them the truth they’ll make fun of me or question it and I’m just trying to explore part of our heritage. Any advice on how to bring this up?
