Each one has its benefits.
Milchig: Can serve pizza, chips with ranch or onion dip, potato skins with cheese and fake bacon, spinach and artichoke dip, stuffed mushrooms, etc.
Fleishig: Can serve wings, chicken strips, hot dogs, other BBQ, eggrolls, gyoza, etc.
Either one can have chips with salsa or guacamole.
I am leaning more towards milchigs just because there’s so many more options.
EDIT: My wife and I are hosting for the “young [single] professionals” group (mostly grad students at the nearby university) from our shul.
