Will Moshiach be anointed and if so how?

I’m looking for sources that discuss if moshiach (the Jewish messiah) will be anointed (as the name implies) the way traditional Jewish kings were anointed, or not.

If Moshiach will be anointed, who will do it and how exactly will it work? I have heard Elijah will use the anointing oil made by Moshe but I don’t have a source for that amd I think there are other opinions.
