Why do I never hear anyone in the frum community talking about the Chevi Garfinkel child molestation scandal?

Why do I never hear anyone in the frum community talking about the Chevi Garfinkel child molestation scandal? The recent news of Zev Steen, a teacher in my community, getting arrested for rape and child pornography, made me think about this. Last year, Chevi Garfinkel, a teacher and speaker, well respected at the time, was sued (I think it was a civil suit? link to court summons ) by a girl who was molested by her for years starting from when she was 11 years old. This was really upsetting to hear. I had respected her, I had heard her speak and met her in person. I listened to her speeches often. What a horrible person and I can’t believe I looked up to her.

Apparently it was being talked about all over Twitter and tiktok when this news broke out, and she was put on administrative leave from her teaching job, but I never heard anyone talking about it in real life. And I haven’t heard any updates since. Does anyone know what happened? Was she convicted?

Why are her shiurim still posted on TorahAnytime? (This really bothers me) Why do I hear people talking about Zev Steen, Chaim Walder, Elimelech Meisels, all these awful people who did horrible things to innocent children, but I never hear anyone talking about Chevi Garfinkel who did the same? Is it because she’s a women, and people in the frum community don’t even want to bring up the idea of women having sex with other women, even when it’s a child predator? Is it because only one victim came forward? Why do I never hear anyone talking about this? I feel like it was hushed up. Anyone have more information?
