Why are stereotypes like Jews being ugly, sneaky, distrustful, etc. still so prevalent today?

I get that it was a thing in Nazi Germany but why does this thinking still exist, especially in countries that fought against Nazi Germany. I have seen young people repeat tropes straight from 1930’s Germany and wonder where they are learning this from.
