why are commandments repeated many times throughout the torah?

some are only repeated a couple times like “dont boil a young animal in its mothers milk” (which later becomes ‘young goat’ which makes no sense) and some are repeated a million times like the passover commandment, no disrespect but im just confused, did moses have to keep telling israel because they kept forgetting (no that cant be because a lot is repeated from the period after the golden calf all the way to the end of levitcus, and at that time israel was keeping gods commandments) so whats the deal, like we get it dont eat bread for seven days but and dont work on the seventh day etc but why does it need to be said a bunch of times? someone please enlighten me, god bless yall
