Where is Jewish law derived from?

Hello,

I’m Muslim and very interested in inter-faith research and dialogue, and I’m very intrigued as to where Jewish Laws (in Arabic it’s called Fiqh) is derived from. Is it just the Hebrew Bible, or are there other texts too?

I understand that a lot of actual laws may be based on interpretation/contextual reading; it works the same in Islam too, but just simpler laws (like what is and isn’t Kosher, what constitutes religious purity, etc.), where are they from?
