Where could I donate Jewish Documents from like the 1800’s early 1900’s?

My father in law (91) just passed away and while going through his boxes we found paper going back to his parents including one original birth certificate and a letter from a mayor vouching for their immigration to America. I know to use this is wild and amazing stuff to hold but seeing a signature on a birth certificate from 1897 attached to a passport all in an envelope attached to their citizenship just seems it needs to be saved and preserved.

Maybe I’m just being nostalgic but I’d like to see if anyone is interested in these Polish and Austrian passports and pages.
