What was the Crown Heights Riot? Is African American antisemitism prevalent today?

So I stumbled into this Wikipedia article about an anti-Semitic riot that took place in Brooklyn against the local Orthodox Jewish Community, led by African Americans.,-73.944722&q=Crown%20Heights%20riot&_ext=EiQp4FQlAd9UREAxdnwTVHZ8UsA54FQlAd9UREBBdnwTVHZ8UsA%3D

Apparently, the riots started after a Jewish driver, who was driving with a motorcade of a rabbi, accidentally crashed into another car, consequently pinning down a Guyanese child, killing him.

“According to The New York Times, more than 250 neighborhood residents, mostly black teenagers, many of whom were shouting “Jews! Jews! Jews!”, jeered the driver of the car and turned their anger on the police.”

“Later that evening, as the crowds and rumors grew, people threw bottles and rocks. Someone reportedly shouted, “Let’s go to Kingston Avenue and get a Jew!” A number of black youths set off westward toward Kingston Avenue (0.7 miles (1.1 km) away from Utica Avenue), a street of predominantly Jewish residents several blocks away, vandalizing cars, and throwing rocks and bottles as they went.”

“During the riots, Jews were injured, stores were looted, and cars and homes were damaged. The rioters identified Jewish homes by the mezuzot affixed to the front doors.” Ring a bell?

If you are familiar with Al Sharpton, an African American leader of the recent BLM protests, hear this. “In his eulogy at the funeral [of the child that died], the Rev. Al Sharpton referred to “diamond dealers” (a Jewish business) and said, “It’s an accident to allow an apartheid ambulance service in the middle of Crown Heights.” A banner was displayed at the funeral that said, “Hitler did not do the job.””

During the riots, a Jewish man was killed. “About three hours after the riots began, early on the morning of August 20, a group of approximately 20 young black men surrounded Yankel Rosenbaum, a 29-year-old Jewish University of Melbourne student in the United States conducting research for his doctorate. They stabbed him several times in the back and beat him severely, fracturing his skull. Before being taken to the hospital, Rosenbaum identified 16-year-old Lemrick Nelson Jr. as his assailant in a line-up shown to him by the police. Rosenbaum died later that night because the doctor didn’t notice a stab wound in his chest. Nelson was charged with murder as an adult; he was acquitted at trial.”

Nelson was acquitted because the jury was completely biased, although he was convicted later on.

“On the third day of the disturbances, Al Sharpton and Sonny Carson led a march. The marchers proceeded through Crown Heights carrying antisemitic signs and burning an Israeli flag. Rioters threw bricks and bottles at police; shots were fired at police and police cars were pelted and overturned, including the Police Commissioner’s car.”

I know I probably rushed through this whole event, could anybody go into it more explicitly?

Is African American antisemitism prevalent today?

Are there any other examples of anti-Jewish riots in America (in the past decade or two)?
