What orthodox Judaism says about abortion on-demand

I’ve looked through several threads here on the stance of abortion in halacha, but people usually talk about the permission/requirement of abortion when the mothers life is in danger or when giving birth would give her distress. I want to know what halacha says about when neither of those conditions are met. I’ve seen sources that say that the first 30/40 days the fetus is not considered to be living, but do orthodox Rabbi’s allow abortions freely in that time period because of that reasoning (again without argument of life danger or serious psychological distress)? Or is there no agreement on that?
