Don’t know if this is the right place to put this but : I’m a semi religious guy, masorti, I keep kosher, say shema, tefilin occasionally, attend holiday services etc. However, say I have sex with a woman who doesn’t do the whole mikvah thing, or I have sex with a non jew before marriage or anything like that, something most Jews have done (me included). Leviticus says the punishment is Kareth. What does that entail exactly, and if so does that mean we are cut off from the rest of the very orthodox who keep those rules?
