What does the Torah say about the creation of man?

Non-Jew here. I’m currently doing some light research between the Abrahamic religions on a few various topics and occasions – one of which I’m writing about is how we as people were created. My belief is that we as people need people, and it’s ridiculous to try and take on the world alone. I have a gut feeling that the Bible, Torah and Qur’aan all emphasise companionship as a crucial part of human nature, and that it’s good/meant for us.

So far, all I know that is that the Qur’aan states: “And of everything We have created pairs; perhaps you will take heed.” [51:49].

Does the Torah say anything similar? Please advise!
