We’ve been directing a growing Hebrew School (which covers all Jewish subjects, that’s just what we call it) for a few years now.
The students have a (varying, but) minimal knowledge of Judaism.
Between Prayers, Alef Bet, snacks and art (crafts, music, drama etc.) we have about 25 minutes for a lesson.
I haven’t been thrilled with the many curriculums I’ve seen/used up to this point. Many feel elongated, with poor choice of emphasis.
So I’m making my own.
Which primary Jewish topics do you think should be included?
Think: Mitzvahs, Jewish philosophy and values, Jewish history.
I will obviously bolster them with explanations, stories, application etc.
Thanks
