What can I do to help the Jewish Community in my area to prevent anti-semitism from prevailing? Also, how are American Jews dealing with the current wave of anti semitism?

Hello, everyone.

I am NOT a Jew myself, but I have plenty of friends who are Jews or are of Jewish heritage. Three of my dearest childhood friends are Jewish, and I’ve celebrated Jewish holidays with them when I was a kid, despite my family being Catholic.

I’ve heard a lot of news about the anti semitism rising not just in the United States but around the world.

I live in Westchester County, New York and New York City is one of my favorite places in the world, and thankfully we haven’t really heard anything about anti semitic activities happening here, but I’m scared it could come over.

I’m terrified that something bad could happen to any of my friends, but I’ve heard that Israel isn’t exactly a saintly place either.

As an eternal optimist, I always try to look for the helpers in times of desperation like this one. I just would like for it to stop. For all this nastiness to stop.

Sigh. Is there anything I can do to help? I just feel paralyzed with fear at this moment.
