What can I do if a relative has died overseas?

Hello to all.

I live in Europe. I have been informed that a close relative in the US has died (at a very ripe old age, thank goodness).

Other than expressing my condolences to the relative’s immediate family, is there anything I can do? The burial has already taken place in accordance with tradition and I know that sending flowers is not in Jewish tradition. I can’t join the immediate family to sit Shiva.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
