Personally I really enjoyed it.
There’s a scene in it were the main character,Larry Gopnik, places a ladder on the roof,
Perhaps a reference to jacob’s ladder. And this music starts playing, notice it’s a harp,
Didn’t King David play a harp?
Then after fixing the TV aerial on the roof he sees his neighbour’s wife sunbathing.
Almost certainly a reference to King David spotting Bathsheba from the roof, as Leonard Cohen wrote in his song, Hallelujah.
But any of the video essay’s on youtube about the film never mention this.
At one point Larry’s next door neighbor comes back from hunting, perhaps a reference to Esau.
Have you seen any other references in the film?
