I was very prim and proper in my language, both in-person and online, until maybe last year. It was around then, iirc, that I may have read some people on here saying that they think cussing is okay and commonplace. That seemed surprising, but it made me wonder if my standards were too high.
I still avoid cussing in-person. But due to reading that apparently everyone else indulges in this behavior, lately, online I’ve maybe experimented a bit and held less of a standard. Still feels like a “lazy” way of communicating, and I try to avoid using it in a way that would make anyone feel bad about themselves.
Is there some scriptural reference we can look into for standards?
