what are your thoughts about g.d being “male”?

i understand that “g.d is neither male or female”. But when talking about g.d or praying we always use male gendered words (he, king, etc), so it doesn’t sound very convincing. i recently saw a quote: “if God is male, then male is God”. it made me think about the connection between the patriarchy and how we perceive g.d. it would be nice to hear your opinion on it…
