Was the Jewish emancipation good for Judaism?

Of course, emancipation was a good thing, and I don’t disagree. But the question is more about the impact of emancipation on Judaism as a religion. Going based on what I learned about the faith so far and the books I read, which one of them is an audio-book titled 3000 Years of Judaism in 30 Day by Howard N. Lupovitch. It looks like the emancipation brought a great deal of good, but also brought new ideas that ended up in one way or another dividing the Jewish community, mostly the Ashkenazi Jewish community.

From your own perspective, would you say emancipation was good or bad for the religion of Judaism?
