I have a friend who I have known IRL but now only talk to on FB as they moved off the mainland. A good friend, he is Catholic, hyper intelligent and honestly one of the most decent people I have ever met. However, (you knew this was coming) When the awful events on the 7th October unfolded, he said nothing, nothing was said or posted in the days after, but when Israel rightfully responded with military action, then he started posting about how awful it was and about innocent lives. That was the line crossed for me and so I got rid. I have no issue if he wants to show support for innocent people but the fact he said nothing when it was Jews meant I was done. Did I over react?
