Was called Racist today…

i was wondering if I could ask for some advice.

I am an Ashkenazi Jewish person, 100 percent levite.

I was having a conversation with an indigenous person about arts funding and how it would be nice to have Jewish listed under minority groups, so if we’re comfortable identifying with that, then we should be able to.

I also mentioned that there’s intersectionality with disability and mental health issues (I am disabled myself and have mental health issues).

This person turned around and told someone who had been defending me on social media against someone who was criticizing me and my business that I was racist for making that comment and then went on about “white jewish people”.

I don’t know what to do. This person could essentially ruin everything i’ve built and I did have the conversation with them and did apologize but i’m left feeling very confused. I don’t know if I could have said anything right or done anything better.

I did call my local temple to try to speak to a Rabbi in the next couple of days but i’m struggling very badly with this.
