We celebrate a winter festival of lights in honor of the lights that were kindled in the ancient Temple built out of evergreen trees, liberated by the Maccabees who paraded through the streets with gifts for the rededication? Yet our neighbors are the ones with parades and colored lights and evergreen trees with presents underneath? I think we really done messed up on this one.
I mean, Christmas isn’t even in Kislev half the time it’s in the middle of Tevet.
