Shabbat Shalom! I’m looking for a new apartment and the one I’m most interested in is only showing to renters on Saturday (tomorrow). I asked if it was possible to see the place at another day/time and they said no, Saturday only.
The place is a few blocks from my current home, so I could walk there, not carry anything, see the place but not take an application with me when I go and not put an app in until the next day, which I believe I can just do online and I don’t need to take a physical paper.
Would this still be a desecration of Shabbos because it’s an act related to some sort of work? Albeit personal? Even if I don’t drive or carry or take pics or work out a deal? Just walk in, look, leave? Thanks!
