Unable to speak on Shabbat/Yom Tov

Hi friends. So obviously will ask my community rabbi but with this issue it’s often more effective to crowdsource, as not everyone has experience with this kind of thing.

I’m autistic, and that means that sometimes I cannot speak. Recently it’s been getting worse due to health issues, and I’m beginning to be concerned about Shabbat and the Holidays this year. Usually when I am nonverbal I can get by, but it’s unpleasant when I have no way to really communicate on a day like Shabbat. I am wondering if there is any kind of Shabbat-friendly accessibility support that people may know about, just in case I find myself stuck on a day where I can’t write or type, and I’m unable to speak. If anyone has any personal experience, ideas, or halachic insights, please can you help me out?
