Did you know that famed revolutionist Leon Trotsky (1879-1940), aka Lev Davidovich Bronstein, claimed that his parents did not speak Yiddish at all. When he was sent to a Jewish school, Cheder, he lasted only three months, as he did not understand anything. Instead of learning in a yeshiva, Trotsky became a leader of the October 1917 Russian Revolution.
