Traditional foods for Yom Kippur fast-breaking?

Hi all, hopefully you don’t mind a friendly non-Jew coming by to ask a question! 🙂

One of my roommates is Jewish and is spending Yom Kippur away from her family for the first time this year. I get the sense that she’s kind of bummed about not having a Jewish community to observe the holiday with, and I love to cook and bake, so I’d love to surprise her with some nice food to break her fast with on Wednesday night. I wanted to ask if there are any traditional foods that are usually eaten for breaking the fast after Yom Kippur. I don’t know what denomination she is, except that she’s not Orthodox; she is Chilean, I don’t know if that provides any hints.

I’m thinking of making homemade challah as I’ve done that before and it’s always turned out well, but I wanted to know if there are any Yom Kippur-specific foods that she might appreciate.
