Toiveling Questions

Hello,

I have been increasing observance and exploring more of Judaism. I was told that I don’t eat kosher because my utensils are not toiveled, despite all my food being kosher. I live far from a mikveh and there are few Jews here.

Do utensils that have been bought from a store need to be toiveled? If so, how is one to do that without making a road trip whenever they buy a new spoon?

I want to keep kosher, (I thought I was) but this observance might not be possible for me. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this subject.
