Three sentences of parsha.

Parshas bichukosai:

In perek chaf-vav, possuk lamed-vav, it says “kol oleh nidof”- if klal yisrael doesn’t keep the torah- “they’ll run from the rustling of branches in the wind, believing that it is an attacking army”.

Fear of danger would be as powerful as true danger. This klolo promises a state of fragility and paranoia, which is as damaging to one’s well being as true persecution.

I found this really interesting because it is basically a source for anxiety in the torah. So if anyone of you have ever been told that “anxiety isn’t real”, here ya go… this possuk proves that the mind is as powerful as any experience.

Good shabbos!!
