Just to make it clear, I am not out to stomp on any feet, because this genuinely interests me. I am doing some amateur research on Jews in the Roman Empire. Several emperors became known of prosecuting Jews, most notably various heinous crimes committed in the name of Titus and Hadrian (epithet may his bones be crushed and all). Is this highlighted a lot by Jewish culture and scripture, or has more recent events like the Holocaust overshadowed it a bit?
