I’ve been hearing a bit about this online, and I, as an American Jew, find it somewhat intriguing, and would like to know what people here think of it.
For those who don’t know, it’s essentially the (fringe) idea that we jews living in diasporah should all abandon the west to return to Israel. Sort of like a second wave zionism ig?
The idea is that, because the only reason were living in diasporah is because of Roman oppression, slavery, as well as constant massacres and antisemitism, that continuing to live in diasporah just means that were internalizing all the antisemitism and that were becoming ok with it. The movement posits the idea that jews can only live with dignity once we live in Israel.
What are you’re guy’s thoughts?
