Thank You to an Archivist ๐Ÿ“š

Howdy there!

โ€‹

When I walked into the State archives to do some research today, you greeted me with a hearty โ€œchag sameach!โ€

โ€‹

I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve ever been greeted in Hebrew when out in a non-Jewish space, so it took my sleepy brain a second to code-switch to Hebrew and process what you said. You deserved a heartier โ€œchag sameachโ€ than I delivered, but maybe youโ€™ll see this later on! ๐Ÿ˜Ž I also overheard you telling your coworker that youโ€™d brought cookies in (which I have a sneaking suspicion might be hamantaschen). ๐Ÿช

โ€‹

The Jewish community โ€˜round these parts is pretty sparse, and itโ€™s sometimes a toss-up how people deal with visibly Jewish people, so I wanted to thank you for making me feel at home. I hope you had a great Purim, and Iโ€™ll keep an eye out for you around Pesach to give you the โ€œchag sameachโ€ you deserve. ๐Ÿ˜Š
