Symbols on jackets?

I’m working on embroidering a jacket, my original design was two triangles over lapping in what would appear to be a Star of David shape. That being said, the top triangle is pink, and the back one is black. The front triangle would say “Act Up In Solidarity” and there would be some additional text underneath. The jacket is for a AIDS awareness project. I understand and know some of the history surrounding the Holocaust (working on educating myself more atm, but we all know how the American education system is) would it be inappropriate to align the triangle that way? Because of how the star was weaponized. Or would it be fine, being that the symbols of the pink in black triangles are derived from the holocaust? (Pink = a queer man) (Black = a queer woman)
