For some context, my wife was the Shabbat service leader for her Jewish Pre-K. The director considered her one of two Jewish (her Jewishness is a well tread discussion throughout other posts I’ve made) teachers they had. Somehow my wife ended up the preferred leader over the other teacher who was a practicing Jew. I’ve always wondered if that was some prejudice because the other teacher was a convert. Was the director showing bias towards a born Jew raised Baptist over a convert? Or was it just that my wife was better at saying the prayers and singing the songs in a way that engaged the kids? Either way, well basically be leaning on my wife here.

I’ve got some chicken breasts salted to go in the instant pot that I’ll add rice to just before sundown then throw the chicken and challa in to warm up. We’ve got hummus, pierogis, and horseradish for the sides.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m going to try to actually disconnect from my phone for the day. We’ll see how that goes.
