Slight Antisemitism experienced from friend

So my friend said “well isn’t Netanyahu like hitler in a way” and I kind of just brushed it off. But, when I was boasting about an Israeli fighter (Aviv Gozali) who won the friend did not seem as ecstatic and was like “oh the one with the flag and having it all over his shorts” like having pride for one’s country is a bad thing. Am I just on edge or would this sadden you out too knowing that someone you really admire would feel that way?
