Shanah Tovah for Rosh Hashanah, the Hebrew Union Veterans Organization was founded in New York City in 1896. In 1917, it became the Hebrew Veterans of the War of the Republic. In 1929, the organization’s present name was adopted: Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America
