Shabbat & Havdalah with babies/toddlers?

I have a 2.5 year old and a 6 month old. The 6 month wants to go to bed at 5:30pm 🤦🏻‍♀️ but I can get him to 7pm. Toddler can make it to 8pm but she can’t really wait past 6pm for dinner. I feel like this time of year it makes it really hard to do the typical light the candles and have dinner after the blessings. Just curious what other parents do? Keep your kids up? Just keep their desired schedule/rhythm and if they catch things they do and if they miss them then so be it? Would love to know how others handle this or if anyone has ideas or thoughts on this.

Their current schedule makes it hard for me to go to services in person so we do a lot at home which I think is beautiful in it’s own way and we catch tot Shabbat at our shul on Shabbat (Saturday). Tonight Havdalah is around 7:30-8pm where I live. I feel like I will have to put the 6m down for bed and then do Havdalah by myself possibly. I don’t mind but it it’s been nice doing these things with my kids up until now.
