Responding to the lie that "Jews deliberately omit reading Isaiah 53 in their synagogues because they know it points to Jesus"

I’m currently arguing with a Christian about our supposed “omission” of Isaiah 53 from shul.

No matter how many times I explain how Haftarot work (and that we actually “skip” much more than just Isaiah 53), I am told that rabbis are deliberately hiding Jesus from the ignorant Jews. I am told that we aren’t allowed to study Isaiah 53. I am told that we “pass over it, every year, because it points to the true Messiah”.

Is this hopeless, or can I talk some sense into the person I’m arguing with? It’s tremendously frustrating to hear that we, the Jews, are “blind” when it’s actually our opponents who are unwilling to see the facts.
