Hi,
I’m doing some research for a film project and would love any links or to connect with anyone knowledgeable about daily life in Warsaw/urban Poland before WWII.
I’ve learned a bit about the professions and beliefs of these Jewish people (for example, that more than 70% spoke primarily Yiddish, not Polish) but would love to know, for example, things like:
Any interesting religious practices unique to Jews this region? Or essentially similar to other Ashkenazi Jewish communities?
Are there particular writers that capture this time especially vividly? Like how Sholom Aleichem captures the shtetl life in Tevye The Dairyman?
