Recommendations for prayer book

I grew up in a conservative shul and have been bringing more and more Judaism into my life over the last 5 or so years.

I would like to purchase a prayer book of some kind to read something from on a day to day basis. It would be nice to have something in hebrew with an english translation, and I think I would really enjoy commentary.

I’m looking for a hardcopy book (as opposed to electronic) because I try to minimize screen use on shabbas.

I’m not sure if what I’m looking for is a siddur, a book of palms, or what my mother called a “bencher” (not sure where this word comes from).

Also, though this is not absolutely critical, I think I would prefer something small so that I can be discreet with it if necessary.

I’d appreciate any suggestions at all, including but not limited to what I should look for while shopping, or specific suggestions of publications.

Thanks so much in advance!
