Recently started seeing someone who is involved in the Kabbalah Centre and I don’t know what to think

So I (31M) started seeing someone (34F) a little over a month ago. She has, so far, been incredibly self aware, emotionally intelligent, transparent, and open to talking about pretty much anything.

She’s progressive, values human rights, environmental conservation, and has talked about her own disagreements with some of the Centre’s teachings.

She isn’t orthodox, isn’t SK/SS, and hasn’t expressed any pressure from the Centre to be so.

Nothing about her says to me that she’s indoctrinated or brainwashed. But she grew up going to the Centre with her parents in Florida and continues to go for Saturday services and classes here in NYC.

I don’t know much about the Kabbalah Centre but the aspect that gives me pause is the cost.

I’ve had trouble finding much info on them that isn’t directly from them, and what I do find seems to be old info.

I really don’t know what to think. I’ve expressed interest in learning more about it because it’s important to her, but she’s put no pressure on me to do so and has a full life outside of the Centre (family, friends, hobbies, passions, a career she loves) so it doesn’t seem as if she’s been isolated by the Centre in the way I know other groups considered cults do, such as Scientology or Twin Flames.

In short, she’s wonderful, and I don’t believe I’m seeing with rose tinted glasses. She seems to be a thoughtful and considerate person who isn’t consumed by an exploitative institution.

Can anyone offer any insight? Just trying to understand more about this and if anyone has direct experiences in recent years, especially with the NYC Centre.

If anyone would be open to talking about it but would prefer to do so privately please reach out.

Thank you!
