Readable books of jewish wisdom/philosophy?

Non-jew here. I was wondering if anyone could recommend me a good, fun to read (or at least not very difficult to read) book of thoughts, wisdom, philosophies etc, maybe by a rabbi or scholar that sums up jewish thought on different aspects of life? I gave the old testament a go but found it almost impossible to read/understand.

Just looking to understand how the religion thinks, i’m doing this for other religions too, mostly out of general curiosity and a love of philosophy and learning (im not looking to convert)

Any suggestions or thoughts welcome!

Thanks
